Rhône Valley Wines - Moods of Rhône

Story

For the second year in a row, Havas STREET helped plan and execute a trade and press event for French-based client Rhône Valley Wines. This year’s event, called “Moods of Rhone,” was a unique tasting event and interactive experience executed at a beautiful penthouse in New York City. Each room of the house was transformed into its own theme, with specific furniture, décor and activities that depicted the everyday settings and situations when Rhône Valley Wines might be enjoyed throughout a household. Activities were synonymous with wine tasting occasions, offering guests the opportunity to discover that Rhône Valley Wines are “Always Right” in any social setting.

 

Tactics

  • Increase Rhône awareness and top-of-mind state among trade and press, while motivating the trade towards Rhône wines
  • Create interest from media through an operation that reflects the positioning and image of Rhône wines (modern and innovative)
  • Capitalize on the “Always Right” tagline of the ad campaign

Results

  • Garnered a total of 155 guests, securing 45 media RSVPs from  outlets including Wine Enthusiast, Epicurious, The Nibble, and Wine Spectator
  • Hosted an expansive array of wine, featuring 44 different varietals 
  • Successfully transformed each room of the house into its own theme, including a family/art room with board games and paintings; a kitchen featuring live cooking demos; and a terrace that included a live BBQ station, acoustic guitarist and Empire State Building photo station
